Nikola completed her drama studies and joined the theatre. Christoph travelled the five continents and sailed the seven seas. She made a career on the stage and was captured on film in a number of roles. He fell in love with the Cape and dreamt of settling there. She spent years dreaming of a little hotel somewhere. Nikola absolvierte ihre Schauspielausbildung und landete am Theater. Christoph bereiste alle fünf Kontinente und kreuzte die sieben Weltmeere; sie bespielte die Bretter, die die Welt bedeuten, und wurde auf etliche Rollen Zelluloid gebannt. Er begeisterte sich für das Land am Kap; sie träumte schon lange von einem kleinen Hotel.
The two minds have united, the outcome being: A house at the Cape, where Chris and Niki can offer accommodation for those who enjoy being spoilt. Es ergab sich eine glückliche Verbindung, nicht ohne Resultat: ein Haus am Kap, um Gäste aus aller Welt zu beherbergen und zu verwoehnen.

"It's going to be hard to book the treehouse, particularly when word gets round, but you have got to try! Surely the most wonderful bedroom in Cape Town. The trunks of two giant palm trees spear through a wooden deck at vertiginous heights and a tiny balcony is in among the topmost fronds and spikes. Lezard Bleu was just about the best guest house in Cape Town anyway, so this latest extravagant addition represents one great big cherry on a mouthwatering cake. Niki is an actress and Chris is a chef, although he has hung up his hat now...no, don't even ask! They are still young and humorous and the house remains sleek and modern with solid maplewood bedframes, white pure cotton, sandy shades and tones, bright splashes of local and modern art on the walls.
Breakfast is the best beanfeast in Cape Town (and that's the opinion of other guest house owners). The Blue Lizard sneaks pleasingly from area to area, each room with it's own doors out to a patio and to the large pool, where sunbathers take it easy on a surrounding hard wood deck. There are real fires in winter, a honesty bar, free internet access - mere details, but typical. Individual, creative, very comfortable, but most importantly this is somewhere really natural and friendly."
